Poonch mishap: Injured man succumbs, toll two | KNO

Srinagar, February 21 (KNO) : One among two injured persons who had sustained critical injuries after landslide hit a goods carrier vehicle near Mandi town of Poonch district, succumbed to his injuries, taking the death toll to two. Official sources told KNO that one among two injured identified as Anjum Parvez of Surankote has succumbed to his injuries. Earlier, a man identified as Makhan Singh son of Ramesh Singh resident of Akhnoor died while two others including Anjum sustained critical injuries after landslide hit a goods carrier vehicle near Mandi town of Poonch district. Official sources had told KNO that incident took place on Thursday evening, adding that a Tata mobile carrying fuel for towers of a private telecom company came under a heavy land slide when it was moving on Mandi-Baila road. In this incident, one of the person travelling in the vehicle got killed while other two got critically injured who were rescued from the spot and shifted to Mandi sub district hospital. However, later, both have been shifted to district hospital following their critical condition. Another injured has been identified as Deepak of RS Pura.(KNO)
